California Golfing....SWEET

I made my fall golfing trip to California and the weather cooperated. I can’t say it was as warm as it could be but 60’s and 70’s isn’t bad. The golf courses this time of the year were in as good of shape as I’ve seen them. On Wednesday I golfed on the Kern River course, Thursday I did the Terra Del Sol in Cal City and the desert course was in excellent condition. Friday was the first real sunny day that I had and with the winds calming down I went up to Stallion Springs to golf Horse Thief Country Club a resort course. Always one of my favorites out near Tehachapi it was in great shape and the new owners are starting to tend to the details that make a course a joy to play. Saturday and Sunday Donavon and I played Sycamore Canyon in Arvin and River Lakes Links in Bakersfield. Those were the best weather days of the week I spent in California mid 70’s and no wind to speak of, it definitely felt good to play golf in shorts again.

I guess I went out and golfed to hit the ball more than anything, I kept score but wasn’t it wasn’t that important to me, I shot a couple of rounds of 83 so I was where I should be score wise. But I also cleaned my bag out hitting many extra balls and just having fun. Next year is soon enough to try to get serious about golf.

I hope you enjoy the pictures of the golf courses I took, they are not the best courses out there but they were close and accessible. Any golf this time of the year when you don’t have to wear a jacket is good golf in Minnesota.

I’ll put some pictures of Bella and Griffin on the blog in the next day or so.

Enjoy
