The lakes are getting ready for all fishermen
Well on Thursday Z and I went back to the crappie action and a strange day it was. It was cold enough that fishing outside was out of the question the wind was nasty and the temps were cold enough to freeze the holes in minutes.
So into the clam we went. The fish were always down there but they would bite the first 15 minutes as soon as the hook got to the bottom and then 1 or 2 bites the next hour. So once the pattern presented itself we moved every half hour about 20 yards in any direction. It got to be a fast afternoon of fishing. The fish were smaller than the first time on the lake but the fillets tasted just as good.
I'm glad to see other ice fishermen looking at my site, I started it out as a fishing site only but the family around the country wanted updates of family events. If you want to see what has been covered look in the archives. Last winter and spring I have probably 50 plus fishing stories and related items. If you need other info leave a post I'll try to help. Holy smokes!!! I've been trying all day to find little know sources of "real" people online with thoughts and ideas about ice fishing shelter. I stumbled on to your porst about The lakes are getting ready for all fishermen and although it's not exactly what I was looking for, it certainly caught my attention. I'm personally building a resource for ice fishing shelter and hope you might stop by and check it out when you have a chance...let me know your thoughts.
