A Day Of Work And A Little Play
Yesterday was the day to bring the Fishhouse up to Red Lake for the winter season. Monday it took 2 hours to get it ready for the trip, mainly it was getting the locks unfrozen but the big Brinks had to be cut off. I now own a new bolt cutter, hopefully I won't be checked by a cop and arrested for B&E. Anyway a change of careers maybe welcome.
The trip up to Red was routine except for the light snow but no problems occurred. Hillman's still weren't able to move their houses out of the line-up area but I was able to find a parking spot. With half a day ahead of me it was time to fish, I started where Zach and I were last week but an ice pile 5 feet high and 40 feet accross did not let me get out into deep water. Two hours of no bites and I was moving, I talked to the guys at Westwind and was told to walk out in front of their place. A mile later I was in 8 feet and tired of walking so fishing sounded like a good alternative. I had only and hour to fish before leaving and I wish I could have been there all day, I had 5 bites and caught 3 fish with only 1 being small enough to keep. The other 2 fish were 17 and 19 inches.
A good afternoon of fishing, I hope you enjoy the fish pictures the other one may scare your kids....BEWARE!!
