A Beautiful Winnie Evening
Sunday night bored and feeling the after effects of the rain and snow strom we experienced I got a call from Z and was asked if I wanted to go fishing....My response was of course WHEN!! We left for Winnie a little after one o'clock on New Years Day and sat on shore amazed to see NO snow on the lake at all. After the GPS was fired up and locked on position we started across the lake. We eventually sat on a 22' hump and started to drill holes so we could locate the edges and the top of the structure. We all started to fish the 28' edges and then move to the top 22' top. Early when the perch went by you couldn't keep them off your line, on top in 22' feet of water I was sitting in the catbirds seat because I caught about 15 fish in a little over an hour while Roy na Z caught 3. It was an exciting evening and the temperatures made it a joy to be out fishing.
Enjoy the pictures of the dinks we caught but be amazed at the sight of the snowless lake, get out there. Those learing of driving out there, strap on your skates and go for the excersize. Regardless your going to have fun.
