Late Rainy River Fishing

Zach and I went to the Rainy River on Monday for some late season Walleye fishing, and despite the wind we manage to boat 85 eyes. We talked to many boats and the big fish were still hard to find. It seemed that 25" was about as large as was seen this year on the Rainy. The number of fish caught was always big but the size wasn't there. The water never got warm so maybe the big fish were still in the lake. I had a blast the 2 trips I made to the river and have to thank Zach for the invites....BTW....we usually have alot of fun in the boat.

Next is probably the opener in May. There will be 6 of us staying at the Little Winnie Resort for some wader fishing fun!!

I hope to have the pics on the blog shortly after the opener...TILL THEN,
