A Great Fishing Trip Courtesy of Ben's Bait...Thank-you

Yesterday was not a planned fishing day, Monday afternoon Zach called and said that he didn’t have much to do. He’s been helping George work on his house and they’re not ready to sheetrock yet. To make a long story short I got roped into fishing, like it took a lot of coaxing. We stopped at Ben’s Bait in Rapids and I guess all the whining that Z has done paid off because Ben told us about a hump that might be worth fishing. I wrote down the GPS coordinates and off we went.

Winnie has been a good winter fishing spot this year so there has been quite a few fishermen around. We had a good map so we explored a few humps we thought might be good to put the wheeled house on. About 2 PM we got tired of freezing our @sses off so we took off the set up the portable. As miracles go we found the hump we were told about and the perch attacked us immediately, but at 3PM we caught our first walleye. In the next hour and a half we landed 8 walleyes and had 4 or 5 others on that we lost. Thank-you very much Ben it was a great evening of fishing. I hope you find this Rodrigo guy someday, he sounds like he may have went south for the winter. Just a guess though. I had some problems with my camera last night so the pictures were lacking and some of down right shitty quality.

Those fishermen looking for fishing related items, Ben’s Bait of Grand Rapids, Mn will give honest up to date fishing reports along with all the tackle or bait to make a fishing trip successful.

Hope your trip can be a successful as ours was,
