Finally Some Snow For the Cali Kids

Well we finally got some snow for the kids to play in and they made the best of an inch of the white stuff. After finding clothes for 4 kids out they went with sled in hand, and the fun began. It kept them entertained for 2 hours and they came in wet and exhausted. To have that kind of energy again, where can I buy some. Hope you enjoy picture of play time.

After coming in wet through the first coat Bella had on Jackie found another coat. All I can say is NONI"S dress granddaughters FUNNY. I was hoping she wouldn't get picked up for street walking...in NYC she would have been busted!!

Griffin spent alot of time rolling in the snow, he came in wet and cold. The first thing he asked was why are my fingers all tingly?

ALL ABOARD...its just barely a two man sled.

Just a little accident all involved walked away!! They were wet though.

Griifin goes WHOOSH as he's pulled by Bellal, Teague and Cade can't keep up....too much fun for the kids.

A Family Fishing Outing

Yesterday I took Alyssa, Donovon, Jackie and 5 grandkids fishing on Red Lake, some might say that it was a crazy idea but it turned out to great fun. Bruce and Bill had set up the fish house after returning from another successful trip from LOW. We all appreciated the set-up of the house in advance of our coming. The day started out slow but at around 10:30 the bite started and it was Bella that scored first with a sauger, YES a sauger! Never seen or heard one being caught on Red Lake before and the DNR that checked us was as puzzled as we were.

Anyway we caught alot of fish for the time that was spent looking at bobbers, we took home 5 keepers and had to release about 15-20 fish in the slot. Today was about giving the kids a chance to catch fish and run off the holiday energy that has built up and the special times when all the grandkids get together and play.

I hope you enjoy the pictures and hope you and your family can spend some quality time this holiday season.

Have a Happy New Year all,

Bruce and Bill did catch a nice Red Lake crappie the night before we got there, and they set everything up the our family outing. Thank-you very much you did a great job and it was appreciated by all.

This was Bella second fish, a nice keeper eye.

A walleye and 3 little indians. Sounds like a good book title.

Bella did catch one eye that was too small to keep, grow up and she'll see you the next time she gets to ice fish.

The GIRLS said it was much nicer fishing in the big house but there had alot of decor suggestions that are going to be ignored.

Very nice D and Teague.

Most fish today were too big to keep, Lyssa holds another over the slot.

Teague even got into the ice fishing and caught a couple of nice walleyes, although he made Lyssa hold it.

Family fishing at its best.

Bella found the perfect way to wtch the bobbers. She had her best luck in the portable though, she caught the first 2 fish of the day and one was a sauger. When the DNR gal stopped by she was as shocked to see a sauger as I was.

Lyssa caught quite a few nice walleyes, it always seem the was a kid around to share in the victory picture...wtg Bella.

We had to release most of the fish we caught but that's the way it is on Red Lake right now. The catching and the excitment having the kids around was entertaining for all of us.

Jackie even got into the action and caught a walleye between suggestions to improve the fish house decor, and NO you will not see a wall mounted mirror on your next visit HUN!!

Here I'm with Lyssa, Bella and Griffin holding a eye caught by Lyssa.

Christmas Memories

Well the big day has come and went, Christmas was another big event that was enjoyed and celebrated by all. The evening started with a great brunch and a bunch of rammy kids that were pumped to open presents. With a little restraint the evening went smoothly .

Hope you enjoy the pictures,
