A Gallery Of Fish Pictures

I have to apologize for the order of the pictures I always put the order backwards. I guess I should do this everyday so that I keep in practice. Anyway I have pictures from Winnie, Lost Lake, and Deer Lake. I hope your are able to get out and enjoy the good fishing that is just getting better by the day. I think most of the pics are captioned so you can tell where they were caught.

The only comment I can make are the last 2 days on Deer Lake were great for big fish. Zach caught a 24" and a 29" fish. I landed a 27" and 29 1/2" walleye in 2 days. We also had at least 8 that were 18-20". A great weekend of fishing for sure.

Enjoy the fishing,

Opener '08....A weekend To Remember

The '08 fishing opener was one to remember for many reasons.....the first was the snow on Saturday night. It's happenned before but it truely wasn't needed with all the late snows we've had this year already. Outside this miserable event the fishing was better than I expected with the late ice out.

On Saturday after chasing around in the morning Zach, Bruce and I ended up on Big Cutfoot and caught 20+ big fish and only 2 keepers. When the drizzle turned to rain we left for the cabin and a warmup. The rain did not stop so the crazies of the crowd ended up in the Gosh Damn Place for a few toddies. As the evening progressed the rain mixed with large snow flakes, so we decided to keep drinking. Bruce and Bill however fished that evening and caught 7 eyes for the larder as Bill would say.

Sunday ended up a great fishing day so off to the lake we went and we soon found out the front had shut down fishing and only 5 fish were caught and all were in the slot...TOO big! After the evening before a few of us needed a nap. At about 4 o'clock off to Little Winnie we dragged our butts to fish. When we got gypsy point Merl had the walleye of his life on the stringer already. He lifted his 27" fish with a smile that was almost as large. GREAT FISH MERL. With all 6 of us fishing the seal kill was on and by evenings end we caught 25+ walleyes with many over 20".

I hope you enjoy all the pictures and know that everybody caught quality fish and a good time was had by all!!

The fishing is only going to get better so get out and fish,
