Pictures From Michigan

Thanks Lyssa for sending me fishing pictures from under the BRIGDE. It looked like they were fishing on your lake down the street. Its nice to know that you can catch something close by. WTG Gabby and D for braving chilling temperatures to enjoy ice fishing.

Thanks and keep on sending the pics,

I'm sure Gabby had to carry Ash out into the snow. To my knowledge this may the first time the cat has left the house. Since leaving California Ash sits on top of the heat vent by the sliding glass door trying to stay warm, content to watch the birds and squirrels go by.

Gabby sit patiently watching her bobber. Sure looks like a fun evening, hopefully she had a chance to pull a lunker out of the hole. Great smile HUN!!

Here Donovon holds up a nice sunfish. I didn't get all the details but this looks like the little lake in their addition where they live. At least they don't have to go far for a little evening ice fishing.

Bruce's Holiday Weekend Trip To Red Lake

Brother Bruce started a new job recently so his time for fishing has been reduced down to one trip this winter. This last weekend was his big bang and sorry to tell Bill that it was alot better than last weekend. Bill and I suffered through one of the worst trips either of us have experienced in many years. Bruce and I started out in similar fashion with only 2 fish caught on Saturday and they were nothing to brag about.

With a poor Sunday morning bite we decided to move anywhere else. We headed back toward shore from our present place of about 9 miles out. We sttled in a plowed spot about 4 miles from shore and saw and caught fish soon after setting up. We caught a couple of fish in the afternoon, but most were caught between 6 and 9 PM. A total of 12 fish were landed with about 8 lost or missed completely. With the slow action and us trying to pass time playing gin, we had some bobbers that may have been down minutes before we noticed them.

This was a better trip than I really expected and Bruce went home with a couple nice meals of fish. Noting that he fished on the only time he'll have this winter it was a good trip, and now he'll look forward to the opener and wader fishing at Little Winnie Resort. Myself I hope to get out at least 2 or 3 more times....Have fishhouse will travel!!

Till the next adventure or misadventure,

I had to get my ugly mug onto the blog. Here are 4 nice walleyes caught on Sunday.

Bruce holds two of the walleyes that were caught in the same hole within minutes.

By the end of Sunday Bruce and I had finally caught a nice limit of eyes. It was a funny bite in that if you moved your jig too much the fish would just bolt and never return.

On Friday after we got set-up Bill caught 2 nice keeper eyes. This will at least make a nice meal for him and his wife.....ENJOY Bill and thanks for helping me dig out the fish house.

We found a nice place to park The house but IT was not a good spot as we only caught 4 walleyes over the weekend.

Christmas 08...One To Be Remembered By All

I a late post is better than never but I'm sooooo sorry for not posting it sooner. It was great that Alyssa and the kids endured the journey from Michigan to spend time with everyone. It was hectic but fun for all. I could go into so much detail but I think the picture will show the most of events around Christmas.

Thank-you everyone for a Christmas to remember,

Here's our Christmas tree that has to be at least 30 years old. With a few well placed decorations it still does its job.

Griffin got a new Nintendo game and needed Teague's help to wander through the game world.

This picture needs some explanation and a few appologies, excuse the mess but the computer table hold my mess and organization that I use to find and process needed paper work. With this said Cade loves my items I need to work with and his favorite are my safty glasses with readers on the bottom. Jackie spotted him playing his games with them on and needed a picture. He definately look scholarly.
