We teed off last in the golf outing and Derrick was the organizer and the big winner of the hole events. We were also lucky enough to squeak out the low score for a few bucks. Another outing will be forth coming as everyone smiles on their faces after. The question is was it from golfing or the BEER??

HTC process development had a golf outing yesterday. Derrick set it up and fun was had by all. This was the second group to tee off, sorry I missed the first. Smiles and fun was had by all.

Mickey and Pat holding up a stringer of eyes. BTW this was taken before the rain came. We fished in a downpour for over an hour. The fish were still biting so it wasn't as crazy as it sounds.

Zach and I spent a morning fishing Winnie yesterday and once the fish were found we did have a great trip. Most of the fish caught had to be released because they were over the slot size. The Winnie wind was up so the fishing was limited to only a few places but Z can always find a fish or two, Actually we probably landed around twenty fish. Enjoy the pictures!!

Another nice fish Zach but at 17 1/8" we have let this one go also.

Nice fish Zach, but that 20" fish has to go back. Winnie at its best.

DOG GONE IT....another eye too big to keep. Today Winnie produced mostly too big or too small walleyes. We caught alot of fish so it was good day to get out and fish. I hope you enjoy all your days fishing.

Minnesota Fishing Opener 2007

Sitting here reflecting on the 2007 fishing I can tell you there were highlights and other great moments. The fishing was great but as all fishermen know we had to work hard to find the fish. This year there were 6 of us at Little Winnie Resort, Bruce, Jeff, Merle, Bill, Zach and myself. Yes you can think it ….what a motley crew we are but there was a lot of fun to be had by all. All the wader fishing was limited to the river again as Little Winnie was high enough so that we could not fish the lake. Zack had two outings on the big lake with only minor success.

Bill had a very strange day on Sunday, being a Finnlander and a little stubborn he fished over a clam bed and caught at least 20 of them. We all suggest that if he didn’t wants to clean the bottom of clams he probably should move. Yep you guessed it he stay right there. HEHE!! A few walleyes did get caught there but many more clams.

I hope all had a great weekend of fishing. I posted a lot of pictures and there is one video that can be seen.

Enjoy,

A friday catch that was released, we also caught a crappie that was legal. It was nice to be out in the boat again, looking forward to another successful year.

Enjoying an afternoon fish fry was the highlight of Saturday.

Bill did catch fish in between cleaning out the riverbed of CLAMS. I know he pulled out at least 20 clams from the bottom of the river.
