Chisholm Prom 2010 - Our Last One.

To the tunes of Frank Sinatra, 44 couples paraded through the aisles of the auditorium under the bright lights of Broadway. Valentini's Supper Club hosted the dance. It was an awesome night...a few tears....many laughs....public praise for what had been accomplished. Now Dave is off to Michigan to chase a few steelhead and I'm going to soak my feet! Our final prom will always be memorable. We did it our way!

David caught the only big fish on Sunday. As soon as we started fishing he dropped his jig and caught a 21" eye. He must of hit the fish in the head, because he bearly had time to set his bail on the reel and the fish took off. This fish was 28"+ and weighed over 8 pounds. I made 3 trips to the Rainy river and caught nice fish every time. This was the bonus trip because of the numbers that we landed. Sunday I'm headed out to the UP of Michigan to go steelheading. I will bring back some pictures of big steelies....I HOPE!! Look for the up date in about 10 days or so.

Enjoy the early spring and think opener

I caught this 30" sturgeon on Rainy River last Sunday. It was a great day fishing and DJ and I landed over 50 walleyes. The season on the northern border waters closes on the 15th. If you have time to go up and fish Rainy....DO IT!! It's worth the drive.
