I finally got the boat onto the water AGAIN!!

Its taken awhile but the boat can still float, I proved it yesterday and went fishing with Mickey. It was a nice cool, overcast morning and Rick said the fish were biting good the day before. What did I have to lose, especially when Mickey was under dressed and was too cold to talk for 4 hours straight. Actually except for "I missed another fish" his conversation was limited.

To get to the meat of the trip we did catch fish but most were only 7-9 inches and will taste good 2 years from now, we did catch one eater but released him. It was small and I really didn't need to have my picture taken with it so I suckered Mickey into holding it....HEHE!!

Golfing is winding down for me so I hope to get some fishing in and will make sure I take my camera.

Now this is ONE serious fisherman, with this scowl you should scare the fish into the boat!!

 

For a morning of fishing Mickey and I were rewarded with fish. This was one was big enough to keep but was the only ONE!! The rest were 8-9 inches and speak well for years to come.

I hope the title catches your attention cause the rest of the text won't. Life has been boring for the readers expecting big things. Golfing has been great but not worth picture taking, Jackie is out in Cali visiting Lyss, D, Bella and griff. They start school on Monday, you young readers feel lucky California schools starts early and goes late into june.

I hope to fish this weekend but also have windows to scrape and paint, I'm wondering what duty will win out. Tempted??

Marla bought a new horse, Demi is an Arabian of Spanish ansestry. She is also pregnant so the herd will go from 2 to 3 soon. I hope you like the pictures Lyss and Bella, Mom thougt you should see the new family member.

Demi is an Arabian with Spanish bloodlines and seem very gentle. Alyssa walked right up to her and was able to pull and tug on her to get her show off for the camera.

 

Alyssa after buying a PINK cowboy hat at the rodeo thought that Demi would look good in it.

 

Pokegama ESPN Outdoors Bass Tourney

Sunday Jackie David and the kids went to watch Jeff Vitali weigh-in his fish at an ESPN Bassmaster tourney at Pokegama lake. I believe this is jeff's 4th or 5th tourney this year and it was a fun event to watch. There were alot of colorful boats and fishermen and a good crowd on hand to cheer the big fish and big catches. Jeff prefished for 4 days and found a pattern Staturday that he thought he could use. The high winds and front that went through Sunday morning changed everything but he scrambled for his 5 fish limit of 12 pounds and finished in 29th place.

Good show Jeff, I hope all appreciate the time a true fisherman puts in for a competition. I have some pictures from the event and hope you enjoy the pictures below.

An ESPN Bassmasters series tournament arrives at Tioga beach for a Pokegama bass tourney.

 

Now there's a boat you could probably see in the dark, couldn't miss it in the light for sure!!

 

Bass fishing MACHINES, Ranger, Triton, Skeeter etc, nice colorful boats.

 

Nice boat Jeff....but its a LUND...it looks different from all the above boats. HEHE!!

 

The end of a long day of fishing, Jeff looks like he's ready get on dry land and finish 4 days of fishing with the weigh-in.
